Oh Dior!

Such Whimsy!
I couldn’t help but think of Little Bo Peep when I saw this dress, albeit a very sophisticated, elegant, well-dressed version. If a frock like that comes with the job, I may have to change careers. The gorgeous blue delft pattern on the inside of the skirt and airy texture on the top combined with a daring high low hem and feminine neckline is almost more than I can bear. So, for this week, of course I had to create a bridal style collage inspired by this dress. I may even take it a step further and present you with a whole wedding inspired by the gown later this week!
First, the dress:
Sassi’s Lucy, with its fresh, high low silhouette and romantic, floaty bubble hem seems a perfect choice. How to draw in that divine blue pattern? Shoes, of course! A pretty, patterned, strappy pair would be brilliant. After an hour scouring the internet and coming up empty-handed, I considered alternatives. A brilliant blue wrap-up sandal or a decadent shoe with lush flowers has a delicious feeling that evokes my Dior.
Finishing touches:
There is an essence of our dress in Lucy’s full floaty skirt, a hint of texture created by the fabric. As an homage to the Dior, perhaps a capelet like Sarah’s would do the trick. Finally, replace Sassi’s crisp bow with an enchanting bloom and top everything off with a loose, modern bun and you are ready to walk down the catwalk…er, aisle!
