To top off our week of giving back while planning your wedding, of course we must talk about your dress!
A wedding gown is such a lovely and special thing, and it is hard not to become sentimentally attached to it. For those that can part with their gown, donating it to the Making Memories Foundation will not only help you do good but also make you feel good. The Making Memories Foundation has annual sales of donated bridal gowns, and all the proceeds go towards breast cancer research.
But you don’t have to give away your gown to help others! Consider reusing your gown, passing it on to a friend or loved one, re-purposing some of the fabric to create a christening gown, or even adding some of the details (lace, beading, fabric) to a loved one’s gown as the”something old.”
In the end, however, no one will fault you for keeping it to yourself and trying it on at every opportunity!

I bought my gown at a Making Memories event. It was so fun! And yes it felt good to know the money was going to a good cause.
I am so glad to hear that! It is such a great way to give back!
